Origins

Bunny and Ravy began with… well, Bunny and Ravy. Bunny was a plush bunny given to me on my first Christmas. Ravy was a plush puppy that came along sometime later. Together the three of us fed off of one another’s insanity until we got to where we are today. I didn’t start making real comic strips until middle school, but both characters have been around as far back as I can remember.

The Daily Gamecock Years (2006-2010)

Bunny and Ravy was originally called Inside the Box. The strip ran under this name for many years and over 475 strips during my time as an undergraduate student at the University of South Carolina in The Daily Gamecock. I changed the name after graduating solely because I didn’t have the insidethebox.com domain name, and there are over one hundred million items in Google under “Inside the Box.” Info on why you can’t see those strips below…

The Now (2011 – APOCALYPSE!)

Since I didn’t want to enter the real world, I went to graduate school, which meant the newly titled Bunny and Ravy could continue running in The Daily Gamecock. After one semester of doing the strip in graduate school I learned that all of the strips I had done for The Daily Gamecock over the past four and a half years had become property of said newspaper. As I was unaware of this policy when I started, I was displeased to say the least. So after finishing the semester and taking a month or so off to regroup, I relaunched the site January 1, 2011. Because I don’t own any of the strips I did in college, they’re no longer being hosted on my website. Kinda sad, there were a few gems in there. At least I can recycle the jokes.
